The American University in Cairo (AUC) School of Continuing Education announces the start of admission and registration for the term starting August 14, 2016
The AUC School of Continuing Education offers certificates in the following:
- Translation and Interpreting
- Legal and UN translation
- Media and literary translation
Admission information for applying for any translation certificate or diploma offerings:
1. Applicants must havebasic Computer Literacy
2. Applicants must pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) and score level ENGG411/ENGGB1A or passing ENGG314/ENGGA2D.
3. Applicants must “pass” the Arabic Language Proficiency Test (APT)
4. Copy of the National ID
Admission Requirements for Professional Diplomas
• University Graduate (copy of the Bachelor’s degree is required)
• Completion of the Foundation Certificate in Translation & Interpreting
Admission Fee:
• L.E. 30 == One time admission non-refundable fees
English (SEPT) Test Fees:
• L.E. 130 == until 11 working days before the beginning of the term
• L.E. 310== One day service test as of 10 working days before the first day of the term
Exam fees are non-refundable and change in admission test dates are only allowed 2 working days in advance of the reserved test session.
Arabic (APT) Test fees:
• L.E. 115/test == until 6 working days before the beginning of the term
• L.E. 310/test == One day service test
Exam fees are non-refundable and change in admission test dates are only allowed 2 working days in advance of the reserved test session.
Term duration & meeting Pattern:
Term duration: 6 Weeks (Intensive)
Schedule: 2 Sessions/week - 3 Hrs. /Session
Or
Term duration: 12 weeks (Full Term)
Schedule: 1 session/week – 3Hrs. /Session
The duration of the course depends on the schedule offered each term

L.E. 840/3hour
LE. 1260/3hour
