Writing skills traineeship at the Center for Intercultural Dialogue and Translation (CIDT) in Cairo, Egypt
Who we are:
The Center for Intercultural Dialogue and Translation (CIDT) in Cairo offers traineeships for students doing their master's or bachelor's degree and for graduates of Mass Communication, Political Science and similar fields. CIDT aims at fostering better understanding between the Arab world and the West and between Muslims and Christians through translating, reporting and the study of intercultural and interreligious relations. We publish a weekly electronic magazine, the Arab-West Report (AWR), are constructing a web-based Electronic Archive (http://www.arabwestreport.info/) built on our translations and special reports published in Arab-West Report. Together with partner organizations in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Czech Republic and The Netherlands we are developing an Electronic Network for Arab-West Understanding (ENAWU). All organizations share the same goal: fostering Arab-West understanding (http://www.enawu.org/).

Required skills and qualifications:
- Students or graduates of Political Science, Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Mass Communication and similar fields.
- Good familiarity with the subject of Arab-West and Christian-Muslim relations
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Computer and internet research skills
- Experience in conducting interviews is an asset
- Writing experience (journalistic articles and scientific papers)
- The ability to carry out research in a precise and accurate manner
Note: This position is only open to Egyptian citizens and is a paid position
